Poker pros JC Tran and John Juanda will be battling it out for a WSOP bracelet today at the 2009 WSOP. (Bodog Beat Image)

Today at the 2009 WSOP will see several big names go head to head in a final table and a full field of big names battle each other in a World Championship event. Here are the details:

$2,500 Pot Limit Omaha – The final table is set and among the nine that comprise that group are poker pros John Juanda and JC Tran. Of these two, Juanda will have the toughest road getting to his fifth WSOP bracelet as he enters play as the short stack at the table. Tran goes in in fourth place and will try to edge his way past Theo Jorgensen, Jeff Kimber and Ross Boatman on his way to his second WSOP bracelet.

$10,000 World Championship Limit Holdem
– A ridiculously talented field of 185 players started out yesterday and, considering this is limit poker, an impressive 69 (ha) players busted out, leaving only 116. So, that field returns to the Amazon Room today to try and survive through to the final table. Once we have the actual payouts for this event, we'll let you know. Anyway, notable names at the top of the leaderboard include Jenn Harman, Maria Ho, Josh Arieh, Chino Rheem, Barry Greenstein, Todd Brunson and, as we mentioned, just a ton of others.

Also happening:

$10,000 World Championship Heads Up No Limit Holdem
Jon Duthie and Leo Wolpert are, obviously, heads-up for the title. To the winner goes $625,682.

$1,500 HORSE - Fabrice Soulier and Shannon Shorr lead the 23 players remaining in this event out of the 770 who started. Bryan Micon, Vanessa Rousso and James Van Alstyne are all lurking and will be looking to get to the final table and a shot at the $247,033 first-place prize.

Stay tuned for more 2009 WSOP updates and information on an exciting online poker tournament series coming up soon in the Bodog Poker room.
