We are about 20 players short of the payouts here are the 2008 WPT LA Poker Classic and online poker player and Ship It Holla' boy Andrew "Good2cu" Robl and Phil Ivey are battling it out for the chip lead.

Robl has been in the top spot for the last couple of hours, dominating his table in a very calm manner. Ivey has been doing much the same, cold, calculating and amassing chips. He recently took over the lead for the first time after lurking in second for a while and has just moved tables to terrorize a different set of players.

Their calm demeanors are in sharp contrast to the few shorter-stacked players who keep yelling in triumph when they win a hand, keeping them in this tournament for just a few more hands and getting closer to the money. The third loud outburst in the last hour or so caused one particularly jaded member of the media to remark, "I hate these people." Hey, someone else just yelled.

Play has slowed and boredom is setting in a bit, but we shall persevere to bring you live updates from the WPT LA Poker Classic.
