Bodog Poker Open II Kicks Off Bounty Tourney Series

Along with the Bodog Poker Open II championship events that are running this week, Bodog is also offering a series of bounty tournaments that offer online poker players a T$109 buy-in to a BPOII Main Event satellite for every player they knock out with a bounty on their heads, on top of the normal poker tournament payouts.

The first bounty tournament took place yesterday in the Bodog Poker room and there were 16 targeted players out in the field of 242 ready to either take down all-comers or give up their prize. Adding to the the value of the tournament, Bodog bumped up the prize pool with an additional infusion of $5,000.

By the end of the night, every bounty had been collected, but not before online poker player "iLLNuGWichee" made a run at keeping his by finishing second in the tournament. That means event winner "bstu24" not only received his $8,030 first-place prize, but also a T$109 buy-in to a BPOII Main Event satellite.

The next bounty event takes place at 9pm tonight in the Bodog Poker room and is a $30 buy-in No Limit Holdem Turbo event. Bodog is guaranteeing a $15,000 prize pool plus the bounties. Starting chip stacks are at 3,000 and the tournament will last for six levels.
