The $10,000 Head-Up No Limit Holdem World Championship began today here at the 2008 WSOP and 128, exactly half (obviously) of the starting field, will be moving onto the second round of matches that start in just a few minutes. Among those moving on will be Bodog poker pros Justin Bonomo and David Williams.

Bonomo defeated David Benefield in the first round and will be going up against celebrity TV poker show host Phil Gordon for a tough second round match.

After a his first round match against Francis Cagney (we should introduce him to Lacey Jones), Wiliams is going up against Andrew Rosskamm in the second round.

Other notables going into the second round include Alex Jacob, Carlos Mortenson, the Andys (both Black and Bloch), Dario Minieri, Erick Lindgren, Gavin Griffin, JC Tran, Gavin Smith, John Juanda, Sammy Farha, Theo Tran….you know what, there's a bunch of them. See the whole list at PokerNews.com.
