The LAPT Mexico has had an interesting history so far. Day 1 of the event was played, as the name would imply, in Mexico, but when the players showed up for Day 2, they found that the tournament had been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. So, the event was played out online, right down to the final table.

When the final nine players were decided and the final table set, they then travelled south to Uruguay to play face-to-face as part of the LAPT Punta del Este festivities. Among those nine players was Bodog regular Bolivar "ramux" Palcios.

Palacios has represented Team Bodog numerous times, including the last three World Series of Poker, and this time was no different. Palacios showed up in Uruguay decked out with Bodog patches to try and do the Black and red proud.

He went into the final table in seventh place and – along with every other player – was trailing the chip leader Rory Cox, who had gone on a hot streak at the end of the online session and racked up a chip stack that added up to as much as all of the other players combined. On top of that noted poker pro Victor Ramdin was seated at the table.

The Bodog online poker player fought hard but was unable to improve his standing and finished the tournament in seventh place, earning $2,000 plus the trip to Uruguay. Congrats to "ramux" for reaching the final table and we'll look for him soon at another LAPT final table.
