You always hear the more accomplished players refer to the donks/fish/dead money at their table as ATMs because getting money from them is as easy as pushing a few buttons. Well, two brothers from the UK took that one step further, and much more literally, by taking money from actual ATMs to help build their poker bankrolls.

Mohammed Irfan and Mohammed Imran were arrested in Scotland after relieving several ATMs of over £150,000 ($300,000) over the past three days. They were able to accomplish this by exploiting a bug in the machine's software that let them use an expired keypad to gain access to the bank's accounts, which they did several hundred times.

Several hundred cash machine visits in three days?!?! Why are criminals so dumb? Did they think no one would notice that? Spread it out, boys, spread it out.

Apparently, the idea was to use their funds to buy into high-stakes poker games in Las Vegas, including the 2008 World Series of Poker. Thanks to some deep digging and studious research by the staff over at WickedChopsPoker.com, it's been revealed that both brothers are regulars at the poker tables in Vegas and actually both cashed in the $1,000 No Limit Holdem event at the 2005 WSOP. Doesn't look like they're gonna get a chance to duplicate that feat as they're facing a fairly lengthy stay in Scotland's penal system. (hehe, penal)
