Freeroll poker tournaments are a great way to build up your poker bankroll from nothing.

A freeroll is typically a multi-table poker tournament with no fee required to play in it. They are perfect for beginners since they can be played for nothing but still offer prizes in the form of money or player points (PTS) which can be used to buy into other tournaments.

The Bodog poker room currently has one of the richest and most accessible daily freeroll schedules in online poker. Here are a few examples of some great freeroll poker tournaments that you can take advantage of:

Daily $500 Freerolls

• These freerolls run three times per day at 2:40 p.m., 9:40 p.m. and 4:00 a.m. ET.
• Although these tournaments are free to enter, each of these tournaments currently offers $1 re-buys and $1 add-ons.
• Players start with 1,000 chips and are able to rebuy an additional 1,500 chips for $1 any time their balance is below 1,000 before the first break. After the first 60 minutes of play (during the first 5 minute break) and regardless of the players chips stack size, players have the option to add-on 2,000 chips for $1. So, during the first 65 minutes, any time that a player finds their chip stack a bit low, they have an option to add more chips.
• If the sum of all re-buys and add-ons exceeds the $500 Guaranteed prize pool, then the difference between the sum and guaranteed prize pool will be added to the prize pool and distributed according the prescribed payout schedule that is displayed in the tournament lobby.

PTS Freerolls

• PTS freerolls are poker tournaments that can be bought into with poker points (PTS) instead of money. Some pay out in cash and some pay out in Tournament Credits (T$) which can be used like cash to buy-into other tournaments at a 1:1 ratio.
• Regularly scheduled PTS tournaments include:
  • $500 PTS Freeroll – 30 PTS buy-in
    • These run daily at 10:40pm ET
    • $500 is distributed to the top finishers according to the prescribed payout schedule that is displayed in the tournament lobby.
  • $100K PTS Qualifier – 400 PTS buy-in
    • These run daily at 6:20pm ET
    • 1 player for every 20 entered will win T$109 that allows the winners to buy in to the Sunday $100K Guaranteed tournament.
  • $20K PTS Qualifier (Turbo)  – 500 PTS buy-in
    • These run on Sundays at 9:15am, 10:15am, 11:15 a.m. ET.
    • 1 player for every 15 entered will win T$109 that allows the winner to buy in to the $20K Guaranteed or the $100K Guaranteed on Sundays.
  • $100K PTS Qualifier (Turbo) – 500 PTS buy-in
    • These run on Sundays at 12:20pm, 13:20pm, 14:20pm ET.
    • 1 player for every 15 entered will win T$109 that allows the winners to buy in to the Sunday $100K Guaranteed tournament.
