Today has a pretty big field of Team Bodog players with 19 including Bodog poker pros Evelyn Ng and Justin Bonomo. Here's a breakdown of some of the other players we've been able to track down.

Bodog online qualifier Dan Melan outlasted every other Bodog online qualifer in the WSOP Main Event last year and went out in 281st place cashing for $45,422.

Melan is currently out in the field here in Day 1C of the WSOP and even though he's taken a small hit to his starting stack of 20,000 he seems to be thoroughly enjoying himself. We couldn't get a shot of him when he wasn't grinning like a kid in a candy shop. We suppose this is the appropriate reaction for players though. It is the WSOP! if you love poker you don't have any reason not to be grinning like crazy when you're playing here.

Good luck Dan. Here's to seeing you make yet another deep run.

Daniel Booth is sitting out there today with about the same amount of chips as what he started with. Booth was one of the participants in yesterdays' WSOP VIP Car Racing Day in which Bodog players enjoyed tearing around in high performance Corvettes and Go-Karts capable of speeds of up to 80mph. And yes, it was just as fun as it sounds.

The Editor of Bluff Magazine, Matt Parvis, is looking to prove that he knows more than just how to spot a dangling participle. He's doing a decent job so far too and is currently sitting with around $25,000. Here's to Matt not getting edited out of the WSOP any time soon.

Qinghai Pan is thoroughly enjoy himself. Maybe it has something to with the approximately 34,000 in chips he's acquired here this afternoon. Like Daniel above, Qinghai took part in the Bodog WSOP VIP Race Day yesterday. You can follow that link to see him in action behind the wheel of a high performance Corvette.

David Geslak took second place at the Bodog WSOP VIP Race Day with a stellar performance behind the wheel of a Corvette. Now he's out in the WSOP Main Event looking for an equally good performace. He's taken a few hits to his stack but he's still got room to play with around 14,000 in chips.

Edward Yee at the 2008 WSOP

We just spotted Edward Yee and and his good-sized stack of poker chips. Yee looks like he's sitting with around 50,000 and the leader of his table.

Stay tuned to the Beat. Coming up next: more Team Bodog players, poker pros Justin Bonomo and Evelyn Ng, and the result of an interesting prop bet. It's all coming your way, served hot and fresh, live from the WSOP in Las Vegas.
