Another day at the 2009 WSOP, another tournament kicks off. Today is the $1,500 Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo 8-or-better event and Bodog Poker pro David Williams is out among the unwashed masses who have turned out.

With more players trickling in as we approach the cut-off for registrations, there are already roughly 750 players registered, including Layne Flack, Lee Watkinson, Nenad Medic, Roland de Wolfe, Allen Cunnigham, Marco Traniello, Mark Seif and a laundry list of others. The final tally should end up around 800, which should make for a pretty nice payday for the winner.

Also getting back underway right about now for Day 2 of play is the $2,500 Mixed Holdem in which Bodog Poker pro Jean Robert Bellande is still alive and kicking with about an average stack. Also still in that event are Daniel Negreanu, Amnon Filippi, Gavin Griffin, Barry Greenstein, Andy Bloch, Jeff Madsen and Eli Elezra. The players are actually getting seated as we speak and we'll keep you posted as the tournament progresses.

If you don't have the time or money to head to Vegas and get in on some live poker tournament action, then stay at home and get in on some online poker tournament action instead with the Bodog Mini Poker Series. This 13-event online poker tournament series takes place from July 3 – July 15, during the 2009 WSOP Main Event, and will be one of the first events to award a seat to the 2010 WSOP Main Event.
