Bodog Poker pro David Williams is playing in Day 2 of the Partouche Poker Tour event in Cannes, France

The Partouche Poker Tour event in Cannes, France, has now moved into Day 2 of competition. Play has already started for the day and began with 298 players remaining out of the original 521 total entrants. Among those who are in the field today is Bodog Poker pro David Williams, who has been keeping friends and fans up to date on his play.

At the end of Day 1B last night, Williams posted this quick update:

Ok day 1b over. Finished with 106k. Which is about double average. Somewhere around 300 players remaining so still a long way to go!

Followed up by a revised version this morning with more up to date numbers:

Day 2 beginning. I have 106k chips. Good for 22nd place of 298 remaining. Don't recognize anyone at my table. And no big stacks.

Once play started, Williams started with the regular tournament updates:

End of level 2 of 6. I'm up to 140k. Smooth sailing. Matusow is at my table and running bad.

192 players left. Average is 82k
