Eating Out And About In Los Angeles For The WPT LA Poker Classic

The view from our breakfast this morning while in Los Angeles for the 2008 WPT LA Poker Classic. (Bodog Beat Image)
We decided to resurrect our ever-popular "Eating Out and About" pieces that we started in London and show you guys a little bit of what we enjoy about eating out in LA. And no this has nothing to do with Britney's vagina. *Shudder*
When in Los Angeles for the WPT LA Poker Classic we know better than to stay anywhere near the Commerce Casino. We're not sayin', we're just sayin'. So, the Bodog Beat crew holes up in Manhattan Beach when we're in Los Angeles, which turns out to be a much better choice.
And while in Manhattan Beach, there's no better place to grab an amazing brunch than Uncle Bill's Pancake House, about halfway up the hill from the beach, right on Highland Avenue. Now, if you are in Manhattan Beach and at Uncle Bill's, there's no better choice for a meal than the "Manhattan Omelette," and that is what you see pictured. A delicious combination of three eggs, sausage, spinach, bacon, mushrooms, onions, ham, green peppers, avocado and cheese with a side of two pancakes. Amazing.
There's also some stuff happening at the Casino, but we're still kinda full from our excursion to Uncle Bills and a nap may be in order and the low-hanging tablecloth back here in the media area might just hide us enough to accomplish that.
Stay tuned for actual poker news live from the 2008 WPT LA Poker Classic, maybe.
