We would dedicate individual posts to the results of the APPT Macau and the Partouche Poker Classic if anyone had any clue who these two guys are or gave a damn about the results of these events. Apologies to the French and Chinese, these tournaments had potential and both widely missed the mark. Maybe the pros are to blame for flaming out. Whatever. Anyway, two different guys won these two different events on different continents at different times.
American poker player Edward Sabat took down the APPT Macau event after a marathon long 12-hour final table. The 22-year-old received $453,851 for beating out a field of 538 players.
French poker player Alain Roy, whose full name is Alain Emile Bernard Roy, walked away from Cannes, France, with $1,426,465 for winning the Partouche Poker Classic. Poker pro Gus Hansen bubbled the final table, finishing in ninth. Hey! We got to mention someone we've heard of. Sweet.
There will be more exciting poker tournament news coming up, we swear. So, stay tuned to the Beat and we'll bring you updates from the worlds of live and online poker.
