You should know by now that if we have to use a generic shot of poker chips that there really aren't a lot of well-known players left in whatever event it is that we're writing about. So, there won't be a lot going on in this post about Day 3 of EPT Budapest.
There are only two players left in the field with any kind of name recognition, or even names we know how to pronounce, and they are Johnny Lodden and Alexander Kravchenko. Lodden, who was once considered the bigges online cash game player under the name "bad_ip," has cashed in six EPT events but has yet to make a final table. With a better than average chip stack, he definitely has the skills to make the final table and possibly take home his first EPT title.
Kravchenko is by far the most successful of the two. Over his career, the Russian poker player has laid claim to a WSOP bracelet, finished fourth in the 2007 WSOP Main Event, final tabled a 2007 WSOP Europe HORSE event and finished third in the Moscow Millions. He is the highest earning Russian poker player in history, having earned over $2.6 million over the past few years.
And that's pretty much it. The field will be narrowed down to the eight-player EPT final table by the end of the day and we'll be back tomorrow to bring you more stimulating and informative updates on the players that make it to that point.
