With the popularity of WSOP Europe growing so much, ESPN is looking to take advantage and broadcast eight hours of the WSOP Europe main event tournament. The 2008 WSOP Europe took place in the Casino at the Empire in London's theater district, and attracted 362 of the world's best poker players.
The first four episodes will debut on February 1 beginning at 6 p.m. ET. Encore presentations of the first two episodes will air on ESPN2 at 10 p.m., and the shows will be co-hosted by Lon McEachern and Norman Chad. The production will include the new mobile hole card cam, allowing ESPN to show the action (along with the player's hole cards) on the outer tables as well as the featured table.
ESPN2 will air episodes from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. on February 1, 8 and 15, and the final two episodes on March 1 at 10 and 11 p.m.
