Bodog poker pros David Williams and Justin Bonomo are both out in the field for the $40,000 buy-in Special Anniversary event here during the first day of the 2009 WSOP and both have said that they will be sending out updates to fans via Twitter all day long.

Bonomo (@JustinBonomo) just updated about an hour ago with his progress:

Started with 120k. Up to 300k right before 1st break.

While Williams (@dwpoker) seems to be concentrating on his game and has only referenced the fact that he is playing (we can attest that he is doing well so far):

Headed the the Rio for the 40k buyin event. Updates all day.

The current chip leader in the event is poker pro Phil Laak with Tony G, online poker wiz Vivek "psyduck" Rajkumar and Bonomo within the top ten.

Final entrant number for the event (turns out our "official numbers" should have been "unofficial") stands at 201 players, generating a prize pool of $7.7 million. The top 21 players will get at least their buy-ins back with first-place receiving an impressive $1.7 million plus a coveted WSOP bracelet.
