Last night underdog Forrest Griffin beat Quinton "Rapage" Jackson in UFC 86 here in Las Vegas. The fight went the full five rounds and Griffin won by decision making him the new UFC light-heavyweight champion.

Griffin had a rough first round but went on to gain momentum in the second by working Jackson's leg. Not unlike the time he worked the leg of an innocent employee of Raw Vegas and accidentally broke it.

Anyway, Griffin went five rounds with one of the toughest fighters in the world and he still managed to get to the the Rio in time for the start of Day 1D of the WSOP. He looks like he took a few shots but you should see the other guy, well… the other guy's leg that is.

So far out in the field we've seen Johnny Chan, Tod and Doyle Brunson, Andy Block, Scott Clements, Allen Cunningham, Annie Duke, Shannon Elizabeth, Antonio Esfandiari, Chris Ferguson, Phil Gordon, Phil Ivey, Phil Hellmuth, Phil Laak, Howard Lederer, Dario Minieri, Michael Mizrachi, Carlos Mortensen, Men Nguyen, Tom Schneider, Mark seif, Jennifer Tilly and of course Bodog poker pros David Williams and Jean-Robert Bellande. Quite the field isn't it?
