Harrahs is starting a new tradition this year by inviting all WSOP event winners back to the Amazon Room the day after their victory to present them with their bracelets.
The ceremony will take place daily at 2:20 PM and will be presided over by WSOP Commissioner Jeffrey Pollack, who will present the Corum bracelet just as players are returning from their first break of the day, ensuring a decent crowd of observers. That is, if the events actually start on time, something not always guaranteed.
A Bracelet Ceremony Stage (BCS) will be set up in the Amazon Ballroom and will exclude schools from the mid-major conferences even if they did go undefeated like Utah in the 2008-2009 season….wait, sorry, wrong BCS. It's Friday, forgive us.
Along with their WSOP bracelets, WSOP event winners will also receive a year of "Diamond" status at all Harrahs properties, as has become customary. Once again, the bracelets will be designed and provide by Corum.
The first bracelet ceremony is slated for Monday, June 1 and will continue daily through the first day of the Main Event, July 3, where the winners of Events #54 & #55 on July 1st will be asked to return on July 3 to be awarded their bracelets, due to the fact no new tournaments are slated on July 2 (Day Off!!1!!!!!111!)
