The next event on the Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) is set to kick off tomorrow in Auckland, New Zealand, and there will be several big names on hand to help welcome the event to the tour schedule.

With an entrant cap of 360, the tournament will be sporting a small, intimate field that will give the players that pony up the $NZD 3,000 buy-in a pretty good shot at sitting next to the likes of poker pros Joe Hachem, Greg Raymer, Chris Moneymaker, Lee Nelson, Grant Levy, Eric Assadourian or Tony Hachem, all who have confirmed to play in the event.

The event runs through October 12 at Auckland's SKYCITY casino, located at the base of the tallest structure in the Southern Hemisphere, the Sky Tower. And if the adrenaline rush at the poker tables is not enough then the APPT is also offering the "Joe Hachem Zorbing Challenge," a 600-foot bungee jump from the Sky Tower, along with several other traditional "Kiwi" experiences.

Adding to the adrenaline rush experiences is the NZD$10,000 buy-in "High Roller" event that gets underway on Oct. 11. Many of those same poker pros are expected to participate in the event in the hopes of cashing in on the opportunity for a big payday.

If you want a shot at a big payday, then check out the $12,000 Player's Choice prize packages on offer in the Bodog Poker room. Head over there and qualify for the APPT, EPT or WPT for as little as $1.
