As we reported earlier on today, Bodog poker pro Jean Robert Bellande had reached the second round of Event No. 53 – $1,500 Limit Holdem Shootout – here at the 2008 WSOP and was the chip leader at his table. Well, after play resumed again this afternoon, Bellande took that chip lead and ran it into a win at his table, which puts him into the final table of the event.

There are still several battles that still need to be decided before the full nine participants at the final table are decided, but we can tell you that Bellande will be facing Andrew Prock, Danny Wong, Joe DeNiro, John Kranyak and Mike Kachan so far. The other two players will be decided once their tables play down to a winner. However, one of those tables is heads-up and the other is three-handed, so it could take a while.

We won't have a start time for the final table until those matches finish up, but we'll be sure to keep you posted with live updates from the 2008 WSOP.
