With 84 players remaining in the 2009 WSOP $2,500 Seven Card Razz event out of the 315 who started yesterday, Bodog Poker pro Justin Bonomo is currently sitting in fourth place and has his eye on making down to the final table.
Bonomo started the day just above average and has chipped up nicely already. He has Eli Elezra at his table and several familiar faces spread around the room, including John Juanda, Jeff Lisandro (who has to be a Player of the Year front-runner), Kenna James, Dario Minieri, Daniel Negreanu, David Sklansky and a few others.
Payouts go to top 32, so Bonomo is definitely on track for his fourth cash of this WSOP. First place wins $188,370, which would be a nice addition to any bankroll. Bonomo has already racked up over $420,000 in tournament winnings so far this year, plus an unspecified amount in side prop bets that concern a resident of the Panorama Towers (where he lives here in Vegas) winning a bracelet.
