LA Poker Classic Tag Team Event Unfortunately Not Wrestling

The LA Poker Classic tag team event went something like the above in our heads when we first heard about it. (Image Courtesy of HowStuffWorks.com)
If we had better photoshopping skills, we would have put Gus Hansen and Phil Ivey's faces on that picture because that's exactly what we thought of when we first saw the title of Event No. 21 at the LA Poker Classic – Tag Team No Limit Holdem.
We have no idea what the format is and we don't really want to know because it would ruin the spectacular assumptions that we have drawn about the possibilities for an event with this kind of name. Suffice it to say that Jordan "OctavianC" Rich and Craig Gray won $33,640 for being the last team standing.
In other LA Poker Classic news, Roy Winston, David "The Dragon" Pham, Max "The Italian Pirate" Pescatori, Theo Tran, Thayer Rasmussen and Allen Kessler all cashed in Event No. 22 – $2,500 buy-in No Limit Holdem. The winner was Cody Slaubaugh who got $101,175 for his victory.
If you ask us, "The Dragon" and "The Italian Pirate" should be a wrestling tag team. Fearsome, no? Well, you've pretty much run out of time to qualify online for the WPT LA Poker Classic since it starts this weekend, but there are still plenty of opportunities to be part of Team Bodog at a major international poker tournament.
So, check the Bodog Poker Tournament schedule to see when the "Player's Choice" daily qualifiers run (some for as little as $1) and get in on your chance to qualify online for an EPT or WPT event or the 2008 WSOP.
