Matt Damon and Ben Affleck both participated in the WSOP celebrity charity poker tournament, Ante Up for Africa. Both players have now been eliminated with Matt Damon exiting early and Ben Affleck later in the day.

As of the writing of this the $5,000 buy-in poker tournament is still going on although it's a small field with only 10 tables of players (last year saw 167 players) so it shouldn't last much longer.

Among the many celebrities attending the event were the hosts actor Don Cheadle and poker pro Annie Duke as well as Adam Sandler, Jason Alexander and Charles Barkley.

Barkley busted out almost immediately (second). It was speculated by some of the crowd that Barkley intentionally busted out because the media and guest emcee Phil Hellmuth kept brining up his gambling debts.

Barkley had recently vowed never to gamble again since he was sued for outstanding debts by a Las Vegas casino.

Ante Up for Africa is held each year during the WSOP as a way to raise money for the crisis in Darfur which has cost 300,000 lives since 2003. The poker tournament asks players to donate at least half of their winnings to the charity. Last year saw the final two players announce that they would be donate 100% of their winnings to the charity.
