This is gonna be a short and to the point post because we've waxed poetic about the LA Poker Classic enough already as the prelims keep drawing loaded fields. With Men "The Master" Nguyen, David "The Dragon" Pham, Paul Darden and Erica Schoenberg all running deep in tournaments over at the Commerce Casino, we've had plenty to write about. So, with no further ado:
Poker pro Max "The Italian Pirate" Pescatori took down Event #15 – $1,000 buy-in Limit Holdem – and in doing so won $42,320. There were 149 other people in the tournament, a bunch of whose names we thought we recognized at first glance, then realized that we did not at all. Pescatori is best known for winning a WSOP bracelet in the $2,500 buy-in No Limit Holdem event at the 2006 WSOP and then following that up with several appearances at the top of major international poker tournaments.
The WPT championship event of the LA Poker Classic draws ever closer with every prelim event that wraps up, so head over to Bodog Poker and check out the WPT LA Poker Classic online qualifiers before there is no time left. Go. Now.
