There are many mental factors that can affect your online poker game. One of the most common is the belief that there is more bad luck online than there is in a live game. Bad beats seem to happen more often online, and many players think that they're better off going into a race with the worst hand. This sort of thinking can lead to poor decision-making and even tilt because they believe the game is not fair.

In reality online poker is not different than a live game. The difference is that play is faster online, and beats seem to come more often because you're playing three or four times faster than you would play in a live game. It's difficult to compare sessions to each other because it would take an enormous amount of hands from both game settings to compare the two of them with any accuracy.
