If your day of poker gets cut short, where would you like to spend your time? Why not on the beaches of southern France? This is exactly what 124 players had the chance to do yesterday when organizers of the Partouche Poker Tour Main Event in Cannes, France, called a halt to Day 2 play a full two levels early because they were losing players too quickly. Soft field? Looks like it.

Among the players who were not lost too quickly yesterday was Bodog Poker pro David Williams, who is already back at the tables today for Day 3, looking to make it into the top 52 and walk away with a little something for his troubles. Today has been a rollercoaster for DW so far in just a short time as evidenced by his last two tweets:

30 minutes into day 3 and I ran KK into AA. Down to 13k.

Back up to 45k. Still grinding and not gonna quit. 1k2k blinds.

With a little more than 22 big blinds left in his stack, DW still has plenty of room to play and we expect that he'll make the most of it.

On the line for all of the remaining players is the €1,000,000 ($1.42 million) first-place prize, but unfortunately that won't be awarded until November. It seems that the Partouche Poker Tour has taken a page out of the WSOP playbook and is playing their final table in November as well. However, with three days of poker still left on the schedule, plus the final table, they could end up adding a day or two to the break if they keep losing players at the rate they have.

Getting to the south of France in November to play poker along the Mediterranean coast may require playing through six days of a poker tournament, but getting to many, many other exotic locations to play may only requires as little as $1 or T$1 with the Bodog Flight Club promotion. Online poker players can qualify to jet all over the world, playing in major poker tournaments, including Amsterdam, Holland, Marrakech, Morocco and many others.
