Playing cash games can be a real tightrope to walk. (Bodog Beat Image)

This setting provides both advantages and difficulties at the same time. Cash poker games give the player the ability to leave the game whenever they wish. You’re not forced to wait out the results like you would be in a tournament setting. Cash games also allow you to leave the game if you get up money and you want to walk away before you lose it back. They come in all sorts of levels for any bankroll.

The difficulty with cash games is that it’s a tougher way to earn money. A winning session won’t pay out the large sum of money that a tournament win would, and a losing streak can cost a lot more money than a tournament loss would. Cash games are considered the toughest, but best, method of becoming an experienced poker player who knows the game properly.
