'Poker' Still Tops List Of Most-Searched Words at Lycos

The word "poker" is the most-searched word on the Lycos search engine. (Bodog Beat Image)
In news that almost no one cares about, Lycos has announced that the word "poker" was at the top of its most-searched terms for 2007.
We honestly didn't know that Lycos still existed but are glad to hear that poker is still as popular as ever. In what was almost obviously an attempt by Lycos to be at the top of their own searches, and hopefully other site's searches, the press release is chock full of delicious popular keywords. What a pathetic attempt to get traffic.
Anyway, poker beat out MySpace, Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, golf, YouTube, naruto (some sort of cartoon), Disney, Pokemon and WWE for the top spot.
Hey, look at that, "poker" is more popular than attention-seeking whores and websites for attention-seeking whores and 12-year-olds. And toys for 12-year-olds. And companies that make programming for 12-year-olds. Man, who the hell uses Lycos? Poker-playing 12-year-olds who enjoy a quick 18 holes on the weekend, that's who.
And now, back to your regularly scheduled programming.
