Ted Moustakis of New Jersey, a Star Trek fan who may or may not live in his parent's basement, recently paid $6000 for the poker visor worn by the android Data in the above Star Trek: The Next Generation clip. He is now suing the vendor, Christie's, claiming the visor is a fake.

Moustakis was tipped off by the actor who played Data, Brent Spiner, when he visited a Star Trek convention to get Spiner to autograph the visor.

According to Moustakis,  when he "approached, [Spiner] saw the visor, and he said, 'That's not my visor. You bought that at Christie's'."

Moustakis paid $200 for the photograph and signature and is now suing Christie's for a reasonable amount – $7 million.
