Bodog started Day 2A of the WSOP Main event with 15 players. As expectd we've had some casualties as well as some growing stacks. Here are few of the players still out there.
Joshua Goldstein, aka squintngo, (pictured above) has made some solid gains today going from his starting stack of 36,600 to where he is now at approximately 80,000. Keep it up Josh, you're killing it.

Also on the WSOP tournament floor we found Magnus Petersson. Petersson is probably best known for beating Bertrand Grospelier in heads-up play last year to win the Copenhagen EPT. Magnus started the day with 47,525 and after a roller coaster few hours he's back to where he started the day.

Steve Stolzmann began Day 2A of the WSOP with 52,250. It looks like he's taken a hit to his stack but is still going strong with around 44,000.

Tay Nguyen has built himself up from 12,750 to 40,500. Watch out for this guy.

James Namken has made a big push going from 16,750 to 36,000.

We were all ready to say goodbye to Jean-Michele Pellande who came into the day 24,650 but was slowly ground down to almost nothing. We blinked and he seems to have gone from about 6,000 to over 20,000 putting him back in the game.

Ryan Monastyrski started to day with 24,150 and he's made a little ground and is now sitting with 24,400.
But not everyone has managed to survive WSOP Day 2A. We've had at least a couple casualties.

Svetlana Gromenkova came out as one of the day's chip leaders with 94,125. Like we've heard from so many other players though she went out with aces after her opponent flopped a set. Svetlana didn't leave the WSOP empty-handed though. She won her first bracelet when she took down the WSOP Ladies event.

Also exiting the WSOP tournament floor today was Walter Browne. Walter got crippled early in the day when he took a bad beat after getting all his chips in with top two pair (queens and tens) against an opponent with top pair (queens with an ace kicker). The turn gave his opponet an ace and Walter was left with only 2K to work with. He did manage to grind his way back to 9,000 before pushing with eights and running into aces. We had a chance to speak with Walter about his WSOP experience and his life as a chess and poker pro. We will be brining you more on this fascinating player in an upcoming post on the Beat.
Stay tuned to the Beat. We'll be getting back to you with more Team Bodog and WSOP news.
