We just spoke with Johnathan Westra away from his table and he definitely seems to be happy with his day so far. He started with 18,650 and is now sitting with about 45,000. He likes his table and seems confident that he will continue to gain ground.

We passed Tom Rose earlier today just as he got into a big hand while on the button with the player in the big blind. Everyone folded to Tom who threw out a bet three times the big blind. The small blind folded and the big blind reraised. Tom made the call. The flop came Q-5-7. The big blind checked and Tom made a pot-sized bet and the big blind checked-raised all-in. At this point we were a little worried that Tom had gotten caught with his hand in the WSOP cookie jar but after thinking very briefly he made the call and showed aces while the big blind showed kings. With no help from the turn or river the big blind was sent to the rail. Tom went from being at around 50,000 to around 80,000.

Anthony Smith is also making a good run and is currently sitting with 80,000.

Adam Gravenstein has about 42,000 which is a slight dip from his starting stack of 46,8250.
