The 130 players that managed to survive the two flights of Day 1 at the EPT Polish Open congregated back at the Hyatt Regency in Warsaw and Team Bodog's Magnus Petersson. Last year's EPT Copenhagen winner started the day 15th in chips and is looking to notch his third EPT cash.
Speaking of, the prize pool and payouts for this event have been announced. The total amount collected for dispersal is just over $3.1 million. The top 32 players will be receiving a little something for their trouble. First place gets $946,269 then all the other places gradually get less and less all the way down to $12,628 for 32nd.
European Poker Tour final tables consist of eight players, just to be different (WPT is six, WSOP nine), and that will be the goal by the end of play today. That, or eight blind levels, whichever comes first. Current chip leader is Jean-Claude Perrot and Petersson is moving slowly up the leaderboard and is currently sitting in about 12th.
