The World Poker Tour has returned to the forefront of the poker tournament world this week with the $10,000 buy-in WPT championship event of the Borgata Poker Open. One of the older events of the tour, the WPT Borgata Poker Open usually draws a decent crowd and its fair share of big name players.
Heading into Day 2 of the event, only 68 players remain out of the original crowd of 516, but among those players are poker pro Michael Binger and noted online poker players Vivek "psyduck" Rajkumar and Thayer "thay3r" Rasmussen, who led the field going into today's play. They will all be gunning to make the six-person WPT televised final table and walk away with the $1.4 million first-place prize.
Play will continue today until there are 27 players remaining, then the players will head out to take in the sights of <sarcasm>beautiful Atlantic City</sarcasm> before coming back tomorrow to continue their march toward the trophy and that potentially life-changing money.
If you want a chance to become the next WPT-Made Millionaire, then don't forget to check out the Bodog Poker room and the $12,000 Player's Choice packages. Online WPT satellites are running daily for as little as $1 and the chance to win a seat to an upcoming World Poker Tour event.
