It's the time of year for everyone to make those resolutions - and if you're playing poker online, there might be a few changes to your game you could make. (Wikimedia Images)

1. I will not play in cash games or tournaments that are too big for my bankroll.

2. I will not play if my mood is poor or I’m upset with something in my life.

3. I won’t get into arguments with juvenile poker players.

4. I will not play when I’m supposed to be doing something important at the time.

5. I will not draw to the lower end of a straight or to gut straight draws.

6. I will not chase flush draws in a head-to-head setting in limit Texas hold’em.

7. I will raise and bet more than I check and call, instead of the other way around.

8. I will quit games where I start to feel like I’m going on tilt.

9. I will trap maniac players who sit to my right.

10. I will understand that I can’t win in every session I play.
