For Will Soffin the WSOP is all about the monkeys. (Bodog Beat Image)

Team Bodog player Will Soffin has played patient poker and is seeing it pay off big time. Soffin started here today on Day 4 of the WSOP at 294,500. He currently has the sixth most chips out of the 339 remaining players with 1.1 million.

Soffin's biggest bump came about an hour ago when he flopped a set and pushed all-in. The big stack at the table who had over one million in chips insta-called and showed top-pair with a flush draw. Soffin's set held up and he took down a pot worth almost 1,000,000 in chips.

We spoke with Soffin over a beer a few days ago and he told us he has a passion for primates and owns something like 40 monkeys, three sloths and two lemurs. We couldn't remember the exact numbers and kinds of monkeys so after he doubled up we stopped by his table to ask him. The conversation went like this:

"Hey Will, how many monkeys do you have again?"

"I dunno but I think I'm going to be getting a couple more."

Yes Will, the way your WSOP is looking you might be able to buy yourself a whole freakin zoo.

Just before the dinner break Soffin took down onne last pot for around 200,000.

Stay tuned to the Beat for more WSOP monkey-loving news.
