World Poker Tour to Sabina Gadecki: NEXT!

The World Poker Tour television series, which starts up its sixth season this year and will air for the first time on GSN, is turning out to be like an episode of MTV's "NEXT" when it comes to its female hostess position. Popular poker news blog Wicked Chops Poker is reporting that the show's new hostess, Sabina Gadecki, won't be coming back for Season VI after just one season with the tour, which is the same fate Gadecki's predecessor, Courtney Friel, faced following just one season.
The WPT has yet to officially comment on Gadecki's reported departure but it seems that both her and Friel failed to hit it off with poker audiences and players the same way Shana Hiatt did during her three year tenure. Hiatt left the show after an apparent nasty set of events that became the subject of a lawsuit between Hiatt and the WPT last year.
There has been no word on a replacement for Gadecki yet, although it is rumored that the decision has been made with an announcement pending. The first event of the new WPT season, the Mirage Poker Showdown, starts May 14.
In other WPT news, the tour announced yesterday the addition of new poker tournaments in Barcelona, Turks & Caicos and Biloxi, Mississippi. They will also add several more themed invitation events to be announced at a later date.
Perhaps a "Former WPT Hostess Night" is in the making.
