The next stop on the World Poker Tour is also one of the newest additions to the schedule. The WPT Turks & Caicos $7,700 buy-in championship event begins later today at the luxurious Club Med Resort on the island of Providenciales (known locally as Provo), one of the islands that makes up the Turks & Caicos chain.

The tournament is expected to draw many of the top, and youngest, US-based online poker players as the minimum entry age is 18, as opposed to 21 in Vegas and is a short flight from Miami. One of the online poker players who has already confirmed his attendance via 2+2 is Jeff "yellowsub" Williams, who won the 2006 EPT Grand Final for a whopping $1.08 million payday. Although already a millionaire, the University of Georgia student will be taking a week off classes to play, hoping that his professors will understand. Also attending will be Bodog poker pro Evelyn Ng.

The players will be gathering at the all-inclusive resort to compete for the $1 million guaranteed 1st place prize, a tantalizing purse designed to draw both the best live and online players.

The upcoming 2007 Aruba Poker Classic, which begins next week, is looking to capitalize on the WPT event and boost attendance at their own event by offering a $550 private jet trip for the short hop from Provo to Aruba. The Aruba event is also a huge draw for online poker players. If you want a chance to become the next poker millionaire and play in tournaments in exotic locations like the Turks & Caicos, Bodog is offering weekly chances to do just that by winning a Bodog "Player's Choice" package. Winners of a "Player's Choice" package will have the choice to enter a WPT or EPT event with a $10,000 or less buy-in and receive cool gear, bonus contracts and incentives to play while they kick back with first-rate service, hang out with poker legends and bask in TV celebrity. Some upcoming destinations included in the package are Barcelona, Monte Carlo, Baden (Austria), Dublin and Warsaw. Qualifiers start for as little as $1 to work your way up to the Player's Choice Semifinal tournaments where you will have the opportunity to play for one of these packages.
