Putting an end to all of the debate and speculation surrounding its broadcast future, the World Poker Tour announced yesterday that it will be teaming up with Fox Sports Net to bring TV viewers the seventh season of the popular poker tournament series.

No schedule or time slot have been released and no financial details discussed, but one can assume that after being ditched by GSN after only one season and a bleak looking future, WPT Founder, President and CEO Steve Lipscomb would have jumped at any offer. For Fox Sports Net it is a deal in which they get a poker property that always features big names and has the potential to draw in high viewership numbers and ratings.

"The World Poker Tour has a track record as the ultimate brand name in televised poker," said George Greenberg, FSN Executive Vice President of Programming and Production. "FSN is very happy to televise such quality content and we look forward to future programming opportunities with the WPT."

Here is the schedule for Season VII of the World Poker Tour:

July 11 – 17 – Bellagio Cup IV
August 23 – 28 – Legends of Poker
September 14 – 18 – Borgata Poker Open
October 10 – 16 – North American Poker Championship
