Since there are no big names left in the WPT Cyprus event, here's a pretty Cypriot beach to look at.

Well, there was so much hope at the beginning of the day for a star-studded final table at the WPT Merit Cyprus Championship. Poker pros Layne Flack, Huck Seed, Jonathan Little and Nenad Medic were all part of the remaining 10 players who started the day. Alas, it was not meant to be as those four names are the same four who busted out to leave the six who will make up that final table. Awesome.

There's not really much more to say about this event after the dismal showing by those four big name players. The only saving grace is that Rep Porter did make it to the final table and will start tomorrow third in chips. The US poker player has cashed in several WPT prior to this, but this is his first WPT final table. He is not lacking in final table experience though as he has made the trip to four WSOP final tables, including a bracelet win this past summer in the $1,500 Short-handed No Limit Hold'em event.
