We've been wandering around the room quite a bit during Event No. 5 – $1,000 No Limit Holdem w/Rebuys – of the 2008 WSOP and over the past couple of hours we've heard more cries of "rebuy" than we would care to describe. One player who seemed to be taking full advantage of his own rebuys and those of his tablemates was online poker phenom Sorel "imper1um" Mizzi.

When we saw him it was maybe (maybe) an hour into play, and he was already sitting with an impressive stack in front of him and was accruing more and more at an alarming rate. Most of it seemed to coming from poker pro/chip donator Mark Voss, who was tossing rebuy chips at the dealer like he was giving him breath mints, and Steve Sung with his impressive 23 rebuys. This table has re-bought 58 times already, so whoever manages to accumulate all of those chips will have a monster stack to last the day, and, like we said, that seems to be Mizzi at the moment.

The action here has been so crazy that the players have been sent on a full one hour break while the dealers and floor staff add up all of the rebuys to try and gain some semblance of control over the proceedings. They'll all be back in about 15 minutes when the real poker will begin and not just the shove-fest that the event has been to this point.

Stay tuned for the official prizepool announcement and the count on the number of rebuys, it's sure to be ridiculously high.
