Last night saw the last 32 play down to four in the WSOP Heads-Up Championship. Today we will see the final four with Vanessa Selbst playing off against Alec Torelli and Kenny Tran facing off against Jonathan Jaffe.
Selbst just came off of being the first woman to ever win a WSOP bracelet for the Pot Limit Omaha. Now she’s blasted through a field of 252 of some of the best poker players on the planet. Yesterday saw 32 players square off and plenty of top pros got eliminated including: both Mizrachi brothers, Sam Farha, Erick Lindgren, Gavin Griffin and Team Bodog’s David Williams.
Williams won his first match yesterday against Daniel "Ansky" Stern to advance to round 5 to face-off against Lyle Berman in round 6. He and Berman had an epic battle that lasted four hours before Williams went all-in and Berman called and made his flush. Williams was sent to the rails with $36,096.
Williams has seen several cashes this year and you can expect him to be on this A-game for the WSOP Main Event. Join him and the rest of Team Bodog by playing in one of their WSOP online satellites.
