Venus Williams One Step Closer To Fifth Wimbledon Title

As if her four previous Wimbledon titles were not enough, Venus Williams took one more convincing step towards a fifth on Saturday defeating Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez 6-1, 7-5.

Williams has reeled off victories against her first three opponents with relative ease, not giving up a single set along the way.

After the Day 6 victory Williams can look forward to matching up with 17-year-old Alisa Kleybanova when the two meet on Monday.

Also, joining Williams in the final sixteen are sister Serena Williams and number two-ranked Jelena Jankovic, now the top-seeded contestant remaining after Ana Ivanovic's elimination on Friday.
