You don’t need to be Sherlock Holmes to know the Detroit Lions are motivated to pick QB Matthew Stafford first overall at the NFL Draft. (AP Images)

News reports say they’re in “final negotiations” to cut a deal before Saturday. This is why there are no odds on the NFL props market for who will be taken No. 1, so it’s a fairly safe prediction that Stafford is Detroit’s main man.

OT Jason Smith is a 4-9 chalk to go second to the St. Louis Rams, and LB Aaron Curry is 10-17 to be taken by the Kansas City Chiefs at No. 3. Again, relatively easy predictions at these odds. Things get very interesting after that. Here are my predictions for the rest of the Top 10:

4. Seattle Seahawks: WR Michael Crabtree (7-4)
5. Cleveland Browns: DT/LB Brian Orakpo (9-4)
6. Cincinnati Bengals: OT Eugene Monroe (3-1)
7. Oakland Raiders: WR Jeremy Maclin (7-4)
8. Jacksonville Jaguars: DT B.J. Raji (no odds)
9. Green Bay Packers: OT Andre Smith (no odds)
10. San Francisco 49ers: OT Michael Oher (no odds)
