An isolated decision or the start of something big?
That's what the NCAA basketball landscape is left to decide today with news that Brandon Jennings – a highly-recruited signee with Arizona – will forgo college to play in Europe next season. The move is in an effort to have him ready for the 2009 NBA Draft.
Jennings, a point guard, announced Tuesday he will pursue a contract in one of Europe's professional basketball leagues, where he expects to earn "certainly, in the hundreds of thousands of dollars," in both a playing contract and shoe and other endorsement deals, Jennings' attorney, Jeffrey Valle of Los Angeles, said to the Los Angeles Times.
