BCS National Championship Odds: Why Oklahoma Will Win

They opened as 3-point underdogs for Thursday’s BCS Championship Game against the Florida Gators (12-1 SU, 10-2 ATS). At press time, Oklahoma was getting 4.5 points, or +165 on the moneyline.

That’s a sizeable haul for a team that has enough offensive firepower to flatten any opponent – which is what’s going to happen at Dolphin Stadium. Heisman winner Sam Bradford (48 TDs, six INTs) leads the No. 1 offense in the FBS against a Gators defense that was rarely tested at the elite level during the SEC regular season.

The 31-30 loss to Ole Miss (+23) should scare Gators supporters on Thursday. Rebels QB Jevan Snead (26 TDs, 13 INTs) only went 9-for-20 in that game, and was still able to lead Mississippi to victory. That was no fluke, either. Just ask Texas Tech.
