LSU remains in the top spot, but with Oregon's loss last Thursday, the undefeated Kansas Jayhawks pulled into second in the BCS standings after their 45-7 destruction of Iowa State. Moving into third is West Virginia, followed by Missouri and Ohio State.

If LSU and Kansas both win their remaining games, they'll meet in the national title game. However, that won't be so easy. LSU hosts Arkansas on Saturday and then will likely face Tennessee in the SEC title game. All that with news that coach Les Miles is the top contender to take over at Michigan next year.

As for Kansas, it will host Missouri on Saturday for a spot in the Big 12 title game, which will likely come against Oklahoma. That's a tough two-step for a squad that's yet to beat any team of real significance.
