Last week word surfaced that the Miami Heat may have discussed a possible deal with the Chicago Bulls that would have sent disgruntled Ben Gordon to South Beach in return for Shawn Marion.
Marion, who joined the Heat mid-way through the season as a result of the Shaquille O'Neal trade would have then paired with recently resigned Luol Deng and first overall draft pick Derrick Rose in the Windy City.
After weeks of a contractual stalemate with Chicago, Ben Gordon has gone as far as to consider a deal that would send him overseas. Should this hypothetical deal have occured, he would have found himself suiting up alongside Dwyane Wade and second overall draft pick Michael Beasley.
The deal, which would also include Marcus Banks to Chicago as well as Larry Hughes and Joakim Noah to Miami, however, seems to have fallen off the radar.
After a painfully disappointing season that saw a massive overhaul of their roster, the Miami Heat look destined to improve, just two seasons removed from a 2006 championship, fans can bet that an improvement from last year's lowly 15 wins is in order.
Will trades resurface involving these two teams yet again?
