Rather than go with the formula endorsed by the Longhorns that omits the Red Raiders as a result of the Lubbock squad’s 65-21 loss to Oklahoma, BCS voters should go with a points-based formula to decide a winner — that is, they should add up each team’s total of points scored and points allowed against each of the other two first-place teams.
