Bodog Fight Gives Las Vegas Fans Something Different

With a four-man tournament and women's matches on the card, the Bodog Fight show in Las Vegas promises something new to local mixed martial arts fans.
Mixed martial arts fans can expect something different when Bodog Fight rolls into town on Friday, Feb. 1 at the Las Vegas Sport Center.
Make that two things: Women's MMA and a four-man tournament.
Given Sin City's reputation as the fight capital of the world, it's hard to believe that female fights and four-man tournaments have been a rare sight on the strip, but Bodog Fight: Nick Thompson vs. John Troyer is bringing both in spades.
Each fight in the 170-pound tournament will be three three-minute rounds. In the first match, Hawaiian native Seth Baczynski (4-5) and Las Vegas' own Chris Kennedy (3-4) are scheduled to fight. The second match pits Greg Jackson fighter Jerome "The Synjrome" Martinez (3-2) from Albuquerque, New Mexico against Waachim Spiritwolf (3-3), who has trained with Abu Dhabi Absolute champion Dean Lister and kickboxing champion Kit Cope. Winners will advance to the tournament final later in the evening.
In addition to the four-man tournament and the welterweight title fight between champion Nick Thompson (39-8-1) and challenger John Troyer (8-0), the fight card will also feature Bodog Fight's newest female knockout sensation, Kaitlin Young (3-0), who scored three spectacular first-round KO's at a recent Bodog-sponsored tournament in Indiana.
Tickets are available at Ticketmaster, with prices starting at $30.
