Bodog Fight welterweight champion Nick "The Goat" Thompson was too much for John Troyer.

Friday, Feb. 1 in Las Vegas, NV, an excited crowd turned out at the Las Vegas Sport Center to watch Bodog Fight: Nick Thompson vs. John Troyer, a show packed with local MMA talent, along with some of the top fighters from around the United States.

In the main event, Bodog Fight welterweight champion Nick "The Goat" Thompson weathered an early storm by Kentucky fighter John Troyer, who fired across the ring at the opening bell. Slamming Thompson to the mat, Troyer looked strong and determined and badly bloodied the nose of "The Goat".

But Thompson was too experienced for the previously unbeaten Hook N Shoot champion. Escaping from the bottom position, he overwhelmed Troyer with strikes from the mount and half guard before finishing his opponent with an excruciating neck crank submission hold.

In other action, fast rising star Kaitlin Young suffered the first loss of her MMA career, as late replacement Sarah Schneider caught the Minnesota super-striker in a tight armbar in the second round of their 135-pound fight.

Using spinning backfists, poweful judo throws and smooth jiu-jitsu, Schneider drew Young out of her comfort zone and into a grappling match, where Young was in a constant stream of submission attacks until the final armbar forced a verbal surrender.

Other winners included Los Angeles fighter Chad George, Jackson Submission Fighting team member Angela Magana and Arizona heavy hitter Seth Bakycznski.
