The defending NBA Champs are taking a flier on a prospect.

Patrick O'Bryant - the former 9th overall pick in the 2006 draft - has been signed to a one-year deal by the Boston Celtics, with the terms of the deal not being disclosed.

While largely a bust in his first two NBA seasons, the 7-footer from Bradley does have a lot of upside. He led the Missouri Valley Conference in blocks for two seasons, but NBA success has been limited. Last season, he appeared in 24 games for the Golden State Warriors, averaging 1.5ppg and 1.2rpg.

Just because the season is over, doesn't mean you can't throw down on the NBA! Bodog has all your latest NBA betting futures up and available now - if you think the Celts can repeat, go ahead and make yourself some money!
